REQUIREMENTS:
To rent from NorthPoint Equipment Rentals, LLC, you must provide a valid driver’s license or another official photo ID (like a Military ID), along with verified proof of your address and phone number, as well as a valid email address. Additionally, a major credit card is necessary for all rentals. In certain situations, a local job site address and phone number may also be required. Please note that all rentals must be paid for in advance.
DAMAGE:
You must promptly notify NorthPoint Equipment Rentals, LLC of any equipment damage. Any damage incurred during your rental will be charged at the retail price of parts, along with the applicable mobile service and/or in-shop service rates needed to restore the machine to its original condition upon receipt. Damage waiver insurance is mandatory for all our rental contracts and is priced at 15% of the rental rates unless a valid certificate of insurance is provided. This insurance limits your financial liability for covered damages; the customer deductible is $1,000 for equipment valued at less than $15,000, $2,000 for equipment valued between $15,000 and $30,000, and $3,000 for equipment valued over $30,000. When damage to rented equipment is reported, a damage deposit of $1,000 will be charged to your credit card until the final bill is determined, at which point you will either receive a refund or an additional charge based on the deductible mentioned above.
RENTAL PERIOD:
Rentals are charged based on the time out, not just the time used. Unfortunately, we cannot influence the weather, so please plan your rental; accordingly, no discounts or extra time can be offered due to adverse weather conditions. Rental rates are subject to change.
½ Day / 4 Hour Rental: customer pickup at the store only.
Overnight rentals are charged at a 1-day rate.
1 Day Rate: covers up to a 24-hour period, with 8 hours on the meter.
5 Day Rate: for a 5-day period, allowing up to 40 hours on the meter.
Monthly Rate: spans a 28-day period, providing 176 hours on the meter.
Weekend Rate: covers Saturday and Sunday, allowing for up to 16 hours on the meter.
7 Day Rate: for a 7-day period, with up to 56 hours on the meter.
Additional hours will incur prorated charges.
CLEANING FEE:
We maintain the right to impose a cleaning fee for equipment that is not returned in a reasonably clean condition. Instances such as coffee spills, excessive dirt in the cab, or mud packed in the tracks may incur an additional charge.
FUEL:
Fuel used during the rental is the renter’s responsibility and is not included in rental rates, unless otherwise specified. Equipment will be full of fuel at the start of your rental, and we ask that you refill it with good, clean, fuel upon return. If you are unable to refill the fuel, we will refill it and charge you for the amount of fuel used. Contact the store for current fuel rates. Please take care in refueling - know whether the equipment takes diesel, 2 cycle mixed gasoline or 4 cycle gasoline, please call us before refilling if you have any questions - there will be an expensive service charge or perhaps engine replacement if the wrong fuel is used. Please take care to use fresh fuel in clean cans - if a renter refills a machine with dirty fuel a charge will apply to change the fuel filter and service the equipment.
DELIVERY:
Delivery services are offered for all our equipment, but please note that delivery fees are not included in the rental rates. The delivery charges depend on the size of the equipment and the destination. Feel free to contact us for a personalized quote.
CUSTOMER PICKUP:
All equipment can be picked up directly from our store. Customers are required to have a properly rated hitch, suitable trailer, brake system, and securement for the equipment being collected. NorthPoint Equipment Rentals, LLC retains the right to deny the pickup of equipment if the customer does not provide adequate and safe towing or hauling equipment.
EQUIPMENT BREAKDOWNS:
If you experience any equipment breakdowns, please contact the store immediately, available 24/7. If you don't reach out, we won’t be aware of the issue, and you may lose any potential credit. We are committed to maintaining our equipment in optimal condition at all times. However, as 'Murphy’s Law' suggests, issues may occasionally arise. Many problems can be resolved over the phone, but in some instances, we might need to provide a replacement or substitute item. We will make every effort to assist you in completing your job efficiently and on time.
EXTENDING YOUR RENTAL:
Please contact the store as soon as you realize you need to extend your rental. We will do our best to accommodate your request for an extension or equipment substitution. However, we cannot influence the weather, so please plan your rental accordingly. Unfortunately, we cannot offer discounts or additional time due to inclement weather! We will do our utmost to assist you in completing your job based on equipment availability.
CANCELLATION POLICY:
We are happy to assist you in canceling or rescheduling your rental reservation, but we do need advance notice. When we hold a piece of equipment for you, it means we are informing other customers that it is unavailable.
A one-day reservation requires a cancellation notice of 48 hours.
A 5/7-day reservation requires a cancellation notice of 3 days.
A monthly rental requires a cancellation notice of 7 days.
If the required notice isn’t provided, you will incur a 25% cancellation fee. In cases where no notice is given and either 1. we attempt to deliver (or actually deliver) the equipment, or 2. you fail to pick it up, you will be charged for any delivery fees and the full rental amount for a daily rental, 50% of the rental amount for a 5/7-day rental, and 30% of the rental for a monthly reservation.
